IC supporters enter union room with police protection

Establishing their control on the union today was an achievement for the Independent Consolidation. According to the IC supporters, SFI had threatened them if they dared to enter the union room. So it was that IC members entered the union room of the college under police protection.
The panel election was completed under a tense atmosphere with students groups clashing with each other.
