DYFI-SFI roundup

Members of DYFI, the sword arm of the CPM, get arrested for involvement in the crime of anhilating a class enemy.

The police arrested four persons on Sunday in connection with the murder of Yuva Morcha leader Satyesh.

Satyesh was attacked on January 4, who succumbed to his injuries the next day. Political enmity is suspected behind the murder.

The arrested persons are DYFI Kodungalloor block secretary and CPM area committee member E.Parthasarathy, T.Fazal, K.Shafiq and Saneesh.


We had earlier written about SFI stirring trouble in CUSAT, situation there has taken a turn for the worse with the SFI activists clashing with the police.
SFI activists have also been in the news few days ago for acts of hooliganism in the Kolkata Presidency College when the election results did not go their way, they had laid seige to the Principal's office.

A scuffle broke out on the campus of Cochin University of Science and Technology on Thursday when police blocked activists of the Students Federation of India (SFI) from entering the administrative block demanding that a representative of the federation be allowed to swear in as general secretary of Cochin University Union.
