Perverted Wish

The administration in Bengal has been completely infiltrated by Communists. It is an open secret that one has to be backed by one of the Communist parties to get most of the government jobs, almost all "class four" staff are affiliated with some communist party. Same is true of the lower rungs of the police force. Jyoti Basu's appeal to government employees and the policemen to ensure a CPM victory is surprising only because of its brazenness. A scathing editorial in the Statesman. Note the reference to hatkata Dilip.

PERVERTED WISH (The Kolkata Statesman, Dec 24,2005)

Excerpt:
Even at 92 Jyoti Basu's potential for mischief remains unbounded. Within a span of ten days, he made identical appeals from two platforms. He first urged policemen attending the annual meeting of the CPI-M-controlled State Non-Gazetted Police Karmachari Samity to fulfil his "last wish" by ensuring a resounding victory for the CPI-M in next year's assembly poll. A seventh successive win would help him die in peace, he said. A former CM ought to know election rules better than to exhort policemen to ensure his party's victory. He said he did not know if it was proper to make such an appeal "but then I can't help it as policemen form part of our party programme whom we have given the right to form union". At another party forum in north 24 Parganas, Basu urged his partymen to make a clean sweep of 28 seats in the district. Here, too, he expressed his "last wish" to "capture" all the eight seats held by the Opposition so that "we reign supreme". Before last year's Lok Sabha poll, he made a similar appeal to wrest "at any cost" the Dum Dum seat. His party did that by employing the likes of "haatkata" Dilip.

Great Job dude, Good luck to you and "GOD" be with you!

You give me hope that Bengal can still be turned around. I hope you Bengali bloggers take the example of Iranian/Chinese bloggers and run rings around the fascist CPM govt of West Bengal.

I just noticed that you have "comment moderation" enabled. Unless there is a very good reason for it I would recommend that you do not have comment moderation - after all that would be communistic!

Moderation is off, if Communist drones come and try to disrupt this blog, I will set it on again.
